Fe2O3 substrate 10 mm x 10 mm.  Thickness is between 0.7 mm and 1.1 mm.

These Fe2O3 substrates have surface decorations in the form of micro-fissures and pits which are a function of the bulk crystal and not the polishing technique.  In between such surface decorations EPI surfaces do exist and users have found that useful and valuable research can be performed despite these decorations.  Substrates are black color.

Laue photos of these crystals show very clear and distinct reflections.
